  • Page 3 §  HandyTone-801 HandyTone-801 is an adaptor for connecIng an analog phone device to our service. To use the device, the customer needs to subscribe to an Internet Service Provider. Customer with no broadband router features needs to provide a separate broadband router. Device Assembly INTERNET RESET POWER DC PHONE Port Descrip9on INTERNET Connects LAN cable’s (Ethernet) accessory. POWER DC Connects special DC adaptor accessory. Connects analog phone device. PHONE ※ Use appropriate phone cable accessory to analog phone when connecIng. RESET Use when restarIng the device. 1.  Switch the analog phone device’s line type to tone. 2.  Connect the phone cable with HandyTone-801’s Phone and analog phone device. 3.  Connect Ethernet cable with HandyTone-801’s Internet to a broadband router. 4.  Connect AC Adaptor to HandyTone-801’s DC 5V and plug to an electric socket. ※ Perform the procedure in correct order.   • Page 4 ・SeJng from Web Browser ① Confirm HandyTone-801 device’s IP address. 1. ATer picking-up the handset of the phone device that is connected to HandyTone-801, dial ***. 2. If secng is not yet performed, E103E, an English voice, will be played from the handset. ATer dialing #, confirm whether an English voice saying ENTER A MENU OPTION is played. ※ If already set, a voice saying ENTER A MENU OPTION will be played. 3. ATer ENTER A MENU OPTION is played, dial 02. An English voice telling HandyTone-801’s IP address will be played. Example: 1-9-2.1-6-8.1.2 ② From web browser, open SeJng page. 1. From the HandyTone-801 and computers connected within the same network, when launching Internet Explorer, etc. web browser, IP address should be entered following the format below. hLp://(IP Address)/ Example: If 192.168.1.2 is displayed, it should be entered as hjp://192.168.1.2/ 2. The above page will be displayed. Enter password and click Login. The iniIal password is admin. ③ Click the BASIC SETTINGS tab found at the upper por9on of the page. Caller ID Scheme: Set using the example below. ・ NTT Japan : Select when connecIng to a phone device that supports number display ※ It is important to set phone that supports number display. Please refer to the device’s instrucIon manual for the setup method. ・ Bellcore/Telcordia : Select this when using phone other than NTT Japan. ※ The prescribed value is Bellcore/Telcordia. Once done, click Update and Apply respecIvely. Click Reboot. The device will be restarted and secngs will be applied. ● Important points when using our service Always disable the alert info header secng in Unique that you are using on the device. Incoming call will be blocked when this secng is enabled.   From website, open Unique Management page. Click Unique Secng, then, go to General Secng. In Alert Info Header Secng, select DISABLE.     §  Confirming SeJngs via Voice Guidance 1.  Pick-up the handset. 2.  Dial ***. A voice guidance saying “ENTER A MENU OPTION” will be played. (Dialing * immediately will play current mode for menu number 01 (DHCP mode or STATIC IP mode). 3.  Enter menu number and confirm secng. As needed, dial 9 to toggle opIons for selected menu. 4.  Dial * to switch to next menu. Menu English Voice Guidance Opera9ng procedure/Contents Number DHCP MODE ( Dynamic Host Warning: StaIc IP mode is not supported ConfiguraIon Protocol Mode ) and STATIC IP MODE in Agile Phone service. Voice guidance for the current IP ADDRESS HandyTone’s IP address will be played. The current subnet mask’s IP address will SUBNET be played in voice guidance. Voice guidance for the current gateway’s GATEWAY IP address will be played. Voice guidance for the current DNS DNS SERVER server’s IP address will be played.     §  Enable Firmware Upgrade (Op9onal) 1.  Open the device’s Web GUI on web browser. 2.  Type password and click [Login]. Default password: admin 3.  Click [ADVANCED SETTINGS] Upgrade via: Select HTTP. Firmware Server Path: Enter firmware.grandstream.com. Automa9c Upgrade: Select Yes, check for upgrade every () minutes and input 10080 on field provided. Firmware Upgrade and Provisioning: Select Always Check for New Firmware at Boot Up. Once done, click [Apply] then click [Reboot] ※ Firmware upgrade will take a few minutes. Please do not unplug your device during the operaIon.   • Page 12 §  Backup Device SeJngs (Op9onal) Perform these step to manually backup the secngs of your device in text or XML format. 1.  Open the device’s Web GUI on web browser. 2.  Type password and click [Login]. Default password: admin 3.  Click [ADVANCED SETTINGS] Dowload Device Configura9on: Click [Download] bujon to download backup file in text format.   • Page 13 §  Restore Device SeJngs (Op9onal) Perform these step to restore your device from a backup file that you have created. 1.  Open the device’s Web GUI on web browser. 2.  Type password and click [Login]. Default password: admin 3.  Click [ADVANCED SETTINGS] 4.  Under Upload ConfiguraIon, click [Upload from local directory] bujon. 5.  On the next page, click [Choose File].     §  Troubleshooting Please check this troubleshooIng procedure before requesIng a repair. If the problem doesn’t get resolved, please contact us. PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION General Failure Plug and Unplug from the power source. (Do this for few Imes). Wait for at least one minute before plugging the device.     §  Device Reset Note that previous configuraIons will be lost aTer the iniIalizaIon process. You need to set all the required secngs again to use your device. 1.  Open Secng page via web browser and login. 2.  Click [Basic Secngs] Reset Type: Select Full Reset.
