5. Use your thumb and index finger to hold the CPU by its edges. Align the CPU keys
(semi-circle cutouts) against the socket keys.

6. Carefully lower the CPU straight down into the socket. To avoid damaging the CPU or
socket, do not drop the CPU into the socket, rub the CPU against the socket pins, or
move the CPU after installing it.
7. Inspect the corners of the CPU to verify that it is properly installed.
8. Close the load plate. Gently push the "Close 1st" lever until it locks, then repeat for the
"Open 1st" lever.
