Installing and Configuring the KES Platform

The platform KES is installed on must meet the following requirements:
Pentium 4 running at 3.0 GHz or better
1 Gbyte of RAM or better
20 Gbyte or better of available hard drive storage
Located in the same domain as the Exchange server
To setup Kazeon Exchange Services (KES), start with a dedicated PC and install the
following general system software according to Microsoft documentation. Do not
substitute other system software.
1. Install a licensed copy of Windows 2003 Server with SP2.
2. Install a licensed copy of Microsoft IIS 6.0 with ASP.NET 1.1.
(This also requires access to the Windows installer CDs.)
3. Install a licensed copy of Microsoft .NET 2.0.
4. Download and install the Standalone Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI Client and
Collaboration Data Objects 1.2.1 package from the following site.

If you have problems downloading, contact Kazeon Support.
On the web page, carefully follow the instructions and ensure the system
requirements before installing the downloaded MSI package.
Once the general platform system software installations are complete, the Kazeon
Exchange Server Agent can be installed. The following assumes the KES server has
network access to the IS1200. Open a browser on the KES platform and go to:
http://<your_IS1200_HOSTNAME>/manager/KazeonAgents.htm
