3.2 Optical Diagram
The optical diagrams indicate the target spot diameter at any given distance
between the target object and the sensing head.
All target spot sizes indicated in the optical diagrams are based on 90%
energy.

Calculating the Target Spot Size
To calculate the target spot size from two known points within an
optical diagram the following formula can be used:
Sx = unknown diameter of target spot
Sn = smallest known diameter of target spot
Sf = greatest known diameter of target spot
Dx = distance to unknown target spot
