  • Page 4 Wireless data transfer 1.3 Product information Hilti products are designed for professional use and may be operated, ser- viced and maintained only by trained, authorized personnel. This personnel must be informed of any particular hazards that may be encountered. The product and its ancillary equipment can present hazards if used incorrectly by untrained personnel or if used not in accordance with the intended use.
  • Page 5 ▶ Do not operate the power tool in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes. ▶ Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
  • Page 6 ▶ Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair and clothing away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts. ▶ If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used.

Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire. ▶ When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another.
  • Page 8 ▶ When ripping, always use a rip fence or straight edge guide. This improves the accuracy of cut and reduces the chance of blade binding. ▶ Always use blades with correct size and shape (diamond versus round) of arbour holes. Blades that do not match the mounting hardware of the saw will run off-centre, causing loss of control.
  • Page 9 ▶ Blade depth and bevel adjusting locking levers must be tight and secure before making the cut. If blade adjustment shifts while cutting, it may cause binding and kickback. ▶ Use extra caution when sawing into existing walls or other blind areas.

It is designed for sawing wood or wood-like materials, plastics, drywall panel and gypsum fiber board. ▶ Use only Hilti Li-ion batteries from the B 36 series with this product. ▶ Use only Hilti battery chargers from the C4/36 series for these batteries.
