Replacing a internal hard disk equipped as standard

This section explains how to replace a standard-equipped internal hard disk with a hard disk of
larger capacity.

Set up the jumper switch.
See the manual accompanying the internal
hard disk and make sure that the jumper
switch has been set to master, or cable select.

If retaining metal brackets are mounted on
both sides of the internal hard disk to be
replaced, remove them.
Remove the screws (4) to remove the
retaining metal brackets.

Remove the upper cover.

Disconnect the hard disk cables.
Disconnect the power cord and flat cables
connected to the hard disk.

Remove the retaining metal bracket.
Remove the screw (one), then remove the
retaining metal bracket by sliding it in the
direction of arrow
