PSU and Cooling Module

The two redundant, hot swappable PSUs have a power socket (1), power switch (2),
PSU status LED (3), cooling module (4), retention screw (5), and extraction handle
(6).
The cooling modules can operate at three rotation speeds. Under normal operating
conditions, the cooling fans run at low speed. Under the following conditions, the
speed of the cooling fans accelerates to increase airflow:
Component failure: If a cooling module, PSU, or temperature sensor fails.
Elevated temperature: If the temperature breaches the upper threshold set for
the internal temperature sensors.
During system initialization, the cooling fans operate at high speed. Once the
initialization is complete and no erroneous conditions are detected, the cooling
fans return to low speed.
Note!
There are two upper temperature thresholds. One triggers an event
notification and the other triggers an acceleration in fan rotation speed.
The preset-value for an event notification can be changed using the
firmware-embedded configuration utility. However, the fan speed trigger
threshold cannot be changed. Refer to the Firmware Operation Manual
for further details.
