    THE FAN BOX: (LABELED NCP-B). THE BLOWER (CONVECTION FAN) MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION ARE COMPLETE AS PER PICTURE ON THE RIGHT. UNPACKING Inspect all components for any hidden damages. 1. Main unit (main body of furnace): Remove the plastic cover. Pull the corrugated box over the furnace. Hopper box & fan box are together packed on a pallet.

    3.0 GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS WARNING INSTALLATION SHOULD BE DONE AS PER LOCAL CODE REQUIREMENTS. ALL WIRING SHOULD BE DONE BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN AND SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH LOCAL CODES AND WITH THE NATIONAL ELECTRIC CODE ANSI/NF NO. 70-CURRENT (IN THE UNITED STATES), OR WITH THE CURRENT CSA C22.1 CANADIAN ELECTRIC CODE (IN CANADA).

    CORN SPECIFICATIONS WARNING IT IS IMPORTANT TO SELECT AND USE ONLY KERNELLED CORN THAT IS DRY AND FREE OF DIRT OR ANY IMPURITIES SUCH AS HIGH SALT CONTENT.     7.0 MAINTENANCE WARNING THE FOLLOWING SECTION DETAILS EXTENSIVE MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES. THE FRONT OF THE APPLIANCE BECOMES VERY HOT DURING OPERATION. LET THE APPLIANCE COOL COMPLETELY BEFORE CONDUCTING SERVICE. DISCONNECT THE POWER PRIOR TO CONDUCTING SERVICE. A CHIMNEY FIRE CAN PERMANENTLY DAMAGE YOUR CHIMNEY SYSTEM. THIS DAMAGE CAN ONLY BE REPAIRED BY REPLACING THE DAMAGED COMPONENT PARTS.

    CLEANING OF FUEL DROP CHUTE The fuel drop chute above the fi re pot may need cleaning from time to time, especially when burning corn. Corn dust, cornfl akes and cracked corn pieces (in other words: low quality corn) combined with humidity be- gins burning and melting at the chute.
