Carrying, Storing, and Transporting the Outboard When
Removed from Boat
With the outboard still in the water, close the fuel valve and run the engine until
it stops. This will empty the fuel from the carburetor.

Close the manual vent screw after the engine has stopped.
Remove the outboard and hold it upright until the water is drained out. Keep the
outboard in an upright position when carrying.
