• The value of the variable to be simulated is defined in the Process variable value
parameter (→  202).
• If Assign measurement variable ≠ Off, a simulation is active. This is indicated by a
diagnotic message of the Function check (C) category.

Assign measurement variable (→  202) ≠ Off
Specify value of the process value being simulated.

Downstream measured value processing and the signal output use this simulation value. In
this way, users can verify whether the measuring device has been configured correctly.
