General Instructions and Battery Charging
Please read these instructions fully before use.
Before inserting the Battery into any of the tools
• Ensure any fittings (eg saw blades) have been fixed firmly and that any adjustment devices (eg hex
wrench) have been removed
• Ensure the relative fasteners have been secured tightly in place and the work piece is adequately secured
• Always ensure the battery is disconnected before making any adjustments
Power connection
• The fuse in the power cord on the charger should always be replaced with one of identical rating. Check
that the voltage given on the charger matches the supply voltage.
Charge and battery
• The charger and the tools in this pack are specifically designed to work together. Do not attempt to
use the tools with any other charger or battery other than the charger and battery supplied with these
products. Identical replacement and extra batteries are available at your nearest Princess Auto location,
item #8083388.
• Note: The battery is supplied uncharged from the factory. It will be necessary to charge the battery before
use. To prolong battery life, avoid leaving the battery on charge for longer than 24 hours. Over-charging
is not a safety concern, but it can reduce the life span of the battery. Do not charge a battery colder than
4°C. Between charges, rest the charger for at least 15 minutes. In a warm environment, or after heavy use,
the battery pack may become too hot to permit charging. Allow time for the battery to cool down before
recharging.When the battery is charged for the first time, or after prolonged storage, the battery will only
accept about a 60% charge. However, after several charge and discharge cycles, the battery will accept a
100% charge.
• To charge the battery, insert the battery pack in the charger. Plug the charger into a power outlet and press
the 'set' button on the charger.
