Avoid operating the machine on wet grass. Tires
may lose traction; regardless if the brakes are
available and functioning.
Avoid starting, stopping, or turning the machine
on a slope.
Keep all movement on slopes slow and gradual.
Do not suddenly change the speed or direction of
the machine.
Do not operate the machine near drop-offs,
ditches, embankments, or bodies of water. The
machine could suddenly roll over if a wheel goes
over the edge or the edge caves in. Establish a
safety area between the machine and any hazard
(2 machine widths).
A 2-post ROPS (Rollover Protection System) is
available for the machine as an accessory. A
ROPS is recommended if you will be mowing next
to drop-offs, near water, or on steep banks which
could result in a rollover. Contact an Authorized
Service Dealer for more details. The California
Code of Regulations requires ROPS (if available)
on all mowers used commercially effective March
1, 2011.
