In addition please note:
– You can also place the meat in a pot
or on the universal tray with the anti-
splash insert.
– The metal tip of the food probe must
be fully inserted into the centre of the
food so that the temperature sensor
reaches the core. The handle should
point diagonally upwards and not
horizontally towards the corners of
the oven or the door.
– When cooking poultry, insert the
metal tip into the thickest part of the
breast. Press the breast with your
index finger and thumb to find the
thickest part.
– Do not let the metal tip touch any
bones, and do not insert it into a
particularly fatty area of the meat.
Fatty tissue can cause the probe to
switch off early.
– If the meat is very heavily marbled
with fat, select the highest core
temperature given in the roasting
chart.
– When using roasting bags, insert the
probe through the bag into the centre
of the meat. You can also place the
meat, with the roast probe inserted,
inside the bag. Follow the roasting
bag manufacturer's instructions.

– The food probe can only be inserted
almost horizontally in very flat pieces
of food such as fish. Therefore cook
flat food in glass or ceramic cooking
containers as the walls of a metal
cooking container would disrupt the
radio signals.
A message will appear in the display if
the food probe is no longer
recognised during a cooking process.
Change the position of the probe in
the food.
