When to add the steam

This option will only appear in the
display if you have selected 1, 2 or 3
bursts of steam.
Tip: If the food has been placed in a
cold oven, and more than one burst of
steam has been selected, the 2nd burst
of steam should not be released until at
least 10 minutes after the start of the
cooking process.
Manual bursts of steam
If you are cooking food, e.g. bread or
rolls, in a pre-heated oven it is best to
release the bursts of steam manually.
The first burst of steam should be
released as soon as you have placed
the food in the oven.
 If you want to inject the bursts of
steam manually, select
the minute minder  to remind you
when to do so.
Time-controlled bursts of steam
 If you want to time when to release
the bursts of steam, select
controlled
.
 Set the time for each burst of steam.
The oven will then release the steam
at the specified times. The time
counts down as soon as the
programme is started.
 Confirm with OK.
The prompt to draw in water then
appears.

 Fill a suitable container with the
required amount of fresh tap water.
 Open the door.
 Pull the water intake pipe forwards
(located below the control panel on
the left).
 Immerse the end of the water intake
pipe in the container with tap water.
 Confirm with OK.
The water intake process will begin.
The amount of water actually drawn up
into the oven may be less than the
amount specified as required, leaving a
small amount in the container.
The intake process can be interrupted
and restarted at any time by selecting
Stop
or
Start
.
 Remove the water container after the
water intake process.
 Confirm the message telling you that
the process is complete with OK.
 Close the door.
