Conversion parts and modifications to the engine
Risk of accident
Tampering with the engine to modify it can
impair both its correct operation and its
safety, leading to accidents and personal in-
jury.

Always have work on or modifications to the
engine carried out at a qualified specialist
workshop which has the necessary special-
ist knowledge and tools for the work re-
quired.
Mercedes-Benz recommends that you use a
Mercedes-Benz Service Centre for this pur-
pose.

Tampering with the fuel-injection sys-
tem and engine electronics may affect
the performance and emission levels of
the engine. It would no longer be possi-
ble to guarantee compliance with fac-
tory settings or legal environmental
protection conditions.
