3. Lower chisel 1/16" to 3/16" and tighten set screw.
There must be a space of 1/16" to 3/16" clearance
(G), about the thickness of a dime, between the
bushing (H) and shoulder of chisel (I). This assures
having proper clearance between the cutting edges
of the bit and points of the chisel after the bit is
inserted into the chuck. SEE FIG. 17.

4. Push bit (J) up through the chisel and into the
chuck (K) until the bottom of the bit is flush with the
bottom of the chisel. Lock bit into the chuck using
the supplied chuck key. SEE FIG. 18.

5. Loosen set screw (L), push chisel (M) up against

6. The flat portion of the bit (O) should now be adjust-

This should provide the proper distance between
the cutting edges of the bit and points of the chisel.
