Installing the cables for the bathymetric system

The bathymetric system cables include those used to connect the Hydrographic Work
Station to the display, to AC mains power, and to the Hydrographic Processing Unit.
The Hydrographic Processing Unit is also connected to the ME70 Transceiver Unit, and
to the global positioning system (GPS). One high capacity Ethernet cable connects the
Hydrographic Work Station to the Hydrographic Processing Unit.
Procedure
1
Connect the power cables.
a
Connect the power cable from the display to the power outlet on the uninterruptible
power supply (UPS). (C41)
b
Connect the power cable from the Hydrographic Work Station to the power outlet
on the uninterruptible power supply (UPS). (C42)
c
Connect the power cable from the Hydrographic Processing Unit to the power
outlet on the uninterruptible power supply (UPS). (C43)
Standard commercial AC mains cables are used. Each cable is supplied with the
relevant unit. The typical cable length is between 1,5 and 2 meters. If this is too short
you must use an extension cable (not recommended), mount a new power outlet within
range, or make your own power cable with sufficient length.
