Close the outer lid.
To close thw outer lid, simply lower it until the
lid latch engages with the lid catch with click.

● If the outer lid is not closed properly, the cooking
efficiency will be badly affected.

Connect the power plug to an
outlet.
Note
● Do not plug the AC cord in until actual cooking
starts. Anytime this rice cooker is plugged in and
the switch is not immediately set for cooking, the
warming circuit is operating.
● Unplug power cord when not in use.

Press the switch button.
Press the switch button on and a click will be
heard.
The start lamp will turn on indicating the rice
is starting to cook.

Steam the rice for 15 to 20 minutes.
When the switch button is turned off and the
Keep Warm function engages, the actual
cooking proceeds to steaming. Therefore,
keep the lid closed for about 15 minutes.

Note
● Do not press the switch button for cooking while
the Keep Warm function is on.

Stir and loosen the cooked rice.

● Do not forget to loosen the cooked rice with the
spatula.

The Keep Warm function
continues.
Note
● While serving, be careful to keep the flanged rim
of the inner pot free of rice. Failure to do so may
prevent the lid from closing properly and cause
the Keep Warm function not to work properly.

How to USE (Porridge Cooking)

This function is only available for the JNP-1803.

Measure the rice.
Always use the measuring cup supplied with
the rice cooker.
A level filling of rice in the supplied measuring
cup equals about 0.18 L.

Wash the rice.

Put the desired amount of rice
and water into the porridge pot.

more than the amount.
If 1 cup of rice are put

the inside of the pot.

Put 2 cups of water with the
measuring cup accessory into
the rice cooker. And install the
porridge pot into the inner pot.

Note
● Two cups of water between inner and outer pot
can be adjustable to your taste.
● Volume of water between inner and outer pot
will be also adjustable to grade of rice and water
temperature.
● If you prefer more soft porridge, add more water
between inner and outer pot and cook agian.

Place the inner pot in the rice
cooker.
Make sure that the pan has direct contact
with the heating plate by turning it slightly
from right to left until it sits properly.

Install the inner lid to the outer
lid by pressing the inner lid over
the inner lid shaft.

Close the outer lid.

Press the switch button.
Press the switch button on and a click will be

The start lamp will turn on indicating the rice
is starting to cook.

When the porridge has finished
cooking, the switch button will
pop up and a click will be heard.
At the sametime the strat lamp will go out and
keep warm lamp will go on, which means the
keep warm feature is working.
Note
● Remove and empty dew collector after every use.
● During keeping porridge warm for a long time,
porridge may become sticky.
● Please note that the steam vent on top of the
outer lid is very hot and steam will come out
during cooking.
● During porridge cooking, pop-up a little steam
(dew) from steam vent, if dew does spill out, open
the outer lid immediately and continue cooking.

Cooking capacity : 0.09 - 0.36
Using 180 ml measuring cup : 0.5 -2 cup
