Feed control SKOV A/S's livestock house controller can ensure accurate dosing of feed for both males and females. The feed is weighed out and supplied in pan or feed chain lines with up to 24 destinations. Filling and feeding procedures take place in line with time control, and different time programs can be made based on the age of the animals.
  • Page 7: Guidelines

If a function is not used, e.g. Extra sensor, it is not shown on the controller's user menus. The manual can therefore contain sections that are not relevant to the specific set-up of your controller. See also Technical Manual or, if necessary, contact SKOV A/S service or your dealer. This manual's User Guide consists of a general introduction, which describes briefly how to operate the house controller.

To be able to enter a correction factor, you must calculate in per cent by how much the automatically recorded weight is less or more than what a manual weight shows. For example, use the results from an inspection weight. DOL 535 • DOL 539 Breeder...
  • Page 21: Period Without Weighing

≈ 104% Correction factor SKOV A/S recommends that the correction factor is adjusted to the current animals. This can be done by setting the correction factor to 100%, and then quickly taking manual weights. Compare the manual weight results with the weight reference curve and adjust the correction factor.
  • Page 22: Filling (Destination Feeding)

Starved animals search for feed. They will react to the sound of the feed system being filled, and move in the direction of the sound. The feed system should therefore be filled immediately after feeding, as filling can otherwise easily result in an unequal distribution of animals in the livestock house. DOL 535 • DOL 539 Breeder...
