Lynx
Important Safety Instructions
• Never let children use unsupervised.
• Use equipment only for the intended purpose, as
outlined in these User Instructions.
Caution: As with any new exercise program, consult with
your physician prior to using the Lynx™.
The following list of contraindications is not exhaustive,
and intended only as a reference:
• Bone weakness, recent fractures, and skeletal implants
• Spinal injury: Any severe spinal cord trauma
• Weakness or instability of the shoulder
If you have one or more of the above contraindications, you may still be able to use
the Lynx™; however, you first must obtain approval from your licensed physician.
Stretching with the Lynx
The Lynx
offers you a compact, portable solution for stretching, relaxing and decompressing
TM
your body. With your ankles secured in the contoured foot supports, applying firm pressure to
the leverage handles results in a great stretch. When stretching with the Lynx
skeleton lengthens 1.3 to 2.5 centimeters (0.5 - 1.0 inch).
The moderate, self-administered traction achieved when using the Lynx
the spine, increase flexibility in the joints, promote relaxation and improve posture through
better alignment.
Preparing the Lynx
1. Open the ankle supports
Depress the button at base of ankle support shaft; this will unlock the ankle support shaft from
its storage position. Rotate the ankle support shaft 135 degrees; the button will lock into place
when the shaft is fully rotated.
Make sure that the ankle support shaft is locked in the ready-to-use position before continuing.
Warning. Use caution when returning the ankle support shaft to the storage position, as fingers
can be pinched between the ankle support shaft and the main-shaft of the Lynx™.
2. Open the handles
Release the strap that holds the handles in the storage position.
Move the top of the handles away from the body of the Lynx™.
Use your thumb to depress the handle adjustment pin from the storage hole.
The storage hole is located on the bottom side and near the base of the handle.
Extend and rotate the handles so that the grips are pointing up.
