Parameter Description
Type of the snapshot to be
created.
Third-mirror break-off: A
third-mirror break-off
snapshot is suitable for a
volume onto which data is
frequently written. The
replication mechanism of a
full-sized instant snapshot
and that of a space-optimized
instant snapshot reduce the
performance of the volume
when data is written to the
volume.
Full-sized instant: A full-
sized instant snapshot is a
variant of a third-mirror
break-off snapshot. It is
available immediately after
the snapshot plex is created.
Space-optimized instant: An
optimized-space snapshot
does not require a complete
copy of the source volume.
Instead, a resource pool is
used to store the data changes.
The cache size indicates the
size of the resource pool. You
can set the cache size when
creating a space-optimized
snapshot.

when you select Full-sized
