the wire end has been inserted, remove the screwdriver. The wire will now be captured
in the terminal slot.
When installing load cell wire connections, be sure to check the JU7 and JU8 jumper
configuration. Remove JU7 and JU8 for a six-wire load cell or be sure JU7 and JU8 are
in place for a four-wire load cell. Locate the ferrite core kit and follow the included "load
cell cable grounding and ferrite assembly" instruction sheet.
Multiple Load Cell Connections
The maximum number of load cells that can be connected to terminal block TB1
depends on the total resistance of the load cells connected in parallel. This total must lie
within the load resistance limits specified in the table below.
RS232 and Remote Switch Connections
The remote switch and serial communications terminal is found on the top of the main
board next to the transformer. Remove the rear cover to access these connections.
Connections are made by inserting each lead of the optional cable into the P2 terminal
block (see Fig. 7). Connect Remote Switch between P2 terminal marked "SW1" and
"GND" or "SW2" and "GND".
