Changing the needle

Important: Ensure the power switch
is turned off when changing the
needle.

a:Rasie the Needle
position by turning the Hand Wheel
counterclockwise, toward you, and
lowering the presser foot.
Loosen the Needle clamp screw
by turning it counterclockwise.
Remove the Needle
Needle Clamp
Insert a new needle into the Needle
Clamp with the Flat side
the rear.
Note:
When inserting the needle into the
Needle clamp , push it up as far
as it goes.
Tighten the Needle Clamp Screw
firmly by turning it clockwise.
b: To check if a needle is bent, place
the flat side of the needle onto
something flat (e.g. needle plate or
glass). The gap between the needle
and the flat surface should be
consistent. Never use a bent or blunt
needle.
Note:
The needle must always be straight
and sharp for smooth sewing.
c: replace the needle if it is:
- Bent
-Blunt
-Point is damaged
