Utility Sewing

Note:
- Ensure that the needle higher than
needle plate and fabric before
rotate the stitch selector. Otherwise
will bent the needle.
-Rotate the Hand Wheel
anticlockwise (toward you) to bring the
thread take up lever to highest position.
But incorrect the Hand Wheel
rotating direction will cause upper
and bobbin thread blockage upper
the needle plate.
Turn anticlockwise the Hand Wheel
to make the calibration tails highest
sewing.
Step 1

Overlock stitches

Overlock stitches are used for seams
or neatening visible hems.
All overlock stitches are suitable for
sewing and neatening edges and
visible seams in one operation.
Set the Stitch Selector Dial
Set the Thread Tension Dial
When neatening, the needle should
just go over the edge of the fabric.
The stretch overlock stitch is used for
fine knits, jerseys, neck edges or
ribbing.
The double overlock stitch is used for
fine knits, hand knits and seams.
Length Dial
can be adjusted
between 1-4.
Step 2

Three-point Z-seam

Set the Stitch Selector Dial
Set the Thread Tension Dial
Length Dial
can be adjusted
between 1-4.
Use this stitch for sewing a raw edge
fo crease sensitive fabric or synthetic
elastic fabric such as rayon. Leave
sufficient allowance at the edge and
after sewing cut the hem as show.
Note: When cutting take care not to
cut the stitches.
