Malfunction
Light does not switch 'ON'
Light does not switch 'OFF'
Sensor switches 'OFF' in spite of
persons being present

Sensor does not switch 'ON'
when persons are present in
spite of it being dark
Cause
í No supply voltage
í Lux setting too low
í No motion detection
í Lux setting too high
í Stay-'ON' time running out
í Interference from sources of
heat, e.g.: fan heater, open
doors and windows, pets,
light bulb/halogen floodlight,
moving objects
í Stay-'ON' time too short
í Light-level threshold too low
í Stay-'ON' time too long
í Reach is reduced when ap-
proached from the front
í Lux setting too low

Remedy
í Check supply voltage
í Slowly increase lux setting
until light switches 'ON'
í Ensure unobstructed sensor
vision
í Check detection zone
í Reduce lux setting
í Wait until stay-'ON' time
elapses; reduce stay-'ON'
time if necessary
í Use stickers to mask
out stationary sources
of interference
í Increase stay-'ON' time
í Change light threshold
í Reduce stay-'ON' time
í Install additional sensors
í Reduce distance between
two sensors
í Sensor deactivated by
switch/button?
í Semi-automatic mode?
