Pay attention to the correct moving direction of the saw chain. On the
housing of the machine will find and icon with chain links.
Hold the tip of the guide bar (17) lightly upwards and
tension the saw chain by turning the chain tension
screw (14) until the saw chain just touches the
bottom side of the guide bar. Then check the chain
for smooth rotation and proper tension while moving
it by hand. The saw chain is adjusted by turning the
chain tension screw in clockwise direction.
Tighten the clutch cover (21) with the nuts. Only
hand tight the nuts with the combi tool (23).
Make sure the kickback brake is released otherwise
the saw chain cannot be moved. The saw chain
should be tensioned that way, so the chain is not
too loose and can be moved by hand. If the saw chain is too tight,
loosen the tension by turning the chain tension screw counter clockwise
and readjust.

Saw Chain

Only use sharp chains. Dull chains can easily get jammed.
While working with new chains, regularly check the chain tension
because new chains can lengthen considerably upon initial opera-
tion.
The service life of a saw chain mainly depends on sufficient
lubrication and correct tensioning.
Do not tension a hot chain. After cooling down, the chain may
shorten and become over tensioned.
