Mains input
Symmetrical input for connecting the  MP 1000 E or a CD player using an
XLR lead.
The Balanced 1 input is assigned to the IN1 (MP) source. If you wish to use
the Balanced 1 input, the switch on the socket panel must be set to "IN1 (MP)".
Operating the switch turns the symmetrical input on, and at the same time
switches the Cinch/RCA input (IN1 (MP)) off.
Universal symmetrical pre-amplifier line input for connecting stereo audio
devices using an XLR lead.
The Balanced 2 input can be assigned either to the IN2 source or to IN3. This
is accomplished by setting the switch on the socket panel to IN2 or IN3 as
required. This action switches the symmetrical input on, and switches the
associated Cinch/RCA input off.
One pair of loudspeakers can be connected to the amplifier (SPEAKER  R
and SPEAKER  L). The impedance of each speaker must not be lower than
4  (DIN rating).
The output stages are designed to cope with a minimum load of 2 , but conti-
nuous operation at very high volume produces high currents in the power output
stages which can lead to overheating. This in turn trips the protective circuit
which switches the amplifier off automatically.
Caution!
Make sure that the terminals are firmly screwed down, and that no
short-circuits are possible as a result of projecting cable ends or errant wire
strands.

Note:
If the loudspeakers are to be used in countries outside the EU the red/black
stoppers can be removed from the loudspeaker terminals. The speakers can
then be connected using banana plugs.
The stoppers are simply a push-fit in the terminals, and can be prised out from
the rear using a suitable tool such as a knife blade.
