Ohmmeter and plug connections
An ohmmeter (multimeter) with a diode tester is
required for the following test procedures.
To ensure a reliable contact:
–
Use appropriate test probes
–
Do not widen or bend plugs and connector tags
–
Unplug and plug in plug connections by hand
whenever possible in the direction of the
connector tags – do not insert them on a slant or
tilt or widen them
–
Plug must be seated firmly
9.3
Checking screwed and plug connections
A reliable connection must be ensured for
communication between control unit, switching
device and solenoid valve. If communication
between control unit and solenoid valve is
interrupted or faulty, the control unit does not initiate
an ignition spark. Thus if there is no ignition spark,
first check the plug connections and wiring harness
between control device and solenoid.
