4. Connect the power cord to the input receptacle on the rear of the power
supply chassis and to the AC outlet.
5. Turn on the power supplies and observe the green LEDs on each power
supply is lit indicating the supply is operational.

Replacing a Power Supply

When a power supply unit fails, the green LED on the failed power supply is
extinguished. See Figure 4-38, B for the location of the power supply LEDs.
If the optional power supply is not installed, power down the
system when replacing the power supply; if the optional
power supply is installed, a faulty power supply may be
removed without powering down the system.
1. Power down the system if only one power supply is installed.
2. Disconnect the AC cable from the power supply chassis.
3. At the rear panel loosen the thumbscrew (A) on the failed power supply.
Open the door. See Figure 4-39.
