    Preparation The following sections describe the necessary preparation procedures for installing SCO UNIX 5.05. Checking System Configuration Before installing SCO, make sure that your system configuration is correct. Run the BIOS Setup Utility to check system configuration. Refer to the Configuring Your System chapter of your User's Guide for more information on how to run these utilities.

Reconfiguring the DOS Partition ® Your system ships with its primary hard drive formatted with an MS-DOS partition approximately 50MB in size. This partition can be removed or reconfigured before you load your Network Operating System software and applications.

    Installing and Configuring System Software This section contains supplemental information for installing and configuring UnixWare 7.1.1 Operating System.   • Page 50 Installation of UnixWare 7.1.1 involves installation of a disk array driver for your disk array system. The procedure basically follows the standard UnixWare 7.1.1 installation with some variations. During the installation, when prompted, insert the UnixWare 7.1.1 driver diskette for the Disk Array Controller into the floppy disk drive.
