SPARK PLUG INSTALLATION

CAUTION
I
To avoid damaging the cylinder head threads ; first,
finger tighten the spark plug , and then tighten it to th e
specified torque using the spark plug wrenc h.
• Insert the spark plug and finger tighten it to the cylinder he:!d
and then tighten it to the specified torque.

Spark plug : 11 N·m (1.1 kgf·m . B.O Ib-ft)
FUEL HOSE
Inspect every 1 000 km (600 miles , 3 months).
Replace every four years.
Inspect the fuel hose for damage and fuel leakage. If .:tny dam-
ages are found , replace the fuel hoses with a new one.
THROTTLE CABLE PLAY
Inspect Initially at 200 km (100 miles, 1 month) and
every 1 000 km (600 miles, 3 months) thereafter.
Adjust the throttle cable play

as follows .
• Loosen the locknut
CD
of the throttle cable.
• Turn the adjuster

in or out to obtain the correct play.
_ ThroHle cable play : 3 - 5 mm (0.12 - 0.20 in)
• After adjusting the throttle cable play, tighten the locknut

ENGINE IDLE SPEED
Inspect Initially at 200 km (100 miles, 1 month) and
every 1 000 km (600 miles, 3 months) thereafter.
NOTE:
Make this adjustment when the engine is hot.
