Push the big
end
of the
conrad
to
one side
and measure the
side clearance with a thickness gauge.

RUNOUT
Support the
crankshaft
with

end journals resting
on
the blocks.
Position the dial gauge, as shown, and rolale
the crankshaft
slowly
to
read the runout.
Correct
or
replace
the crankshaft if the runout
is
greater than the
limil.
