Steps for Finalizing the Installation
1.
Remove the glass (see page 21).
NOTE:
If using propane (LP) convert the appliance prior to installing the media.
2.
We recommend you purge the gas line at this time (with the glass removed). This allows gas to be detected
once it enters the firebox, ensuring gas does not build up.
3.
Install four AA batteries into the receiver (see page 37 for details). These batteries control on/off operation from
the remote and are required for operation.
4.
Synchronize the remote to the receiver and put the remote in manual mode.
(a) Install batteries into receiver.
(b) When red LED light flashes, press any button on the remote.
(c) Red light will go out, indicating the remote is synchronized to the receiver.
(d) Put the remote in Manual Mode (press both buttons until thermostat icon (thermometer) disappears).
5.
Install firebacks (if applicable). Install the log set (page 24).
6.
Start the pilot (see instructions on page 31).
7.
Replace the glass.
8.
Start the main burner and verify the the burner ignites correctly.
9.
Leak test all gas joints.
