Before removing the SSD, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.
Remove the following components:
a.
Service door (see

Battery (see
c.
Base enclosure (see
d.
Hard drive(s) and internal frame (see
Remove the SSD:
NOTE:
The secondary SSD is only available if a primary SSD is installed.
1.
Remove the Phillips screw (1) that secures the solid-state drive to the system board.
2.
Remove the SSD (2) by pulling the drive away from the slot at an angle.
