Note: The Modbus/RTU rescan uses a selected communication speed (defined in the
Interface Settings dialog box). The rescan runs continuously in the background if all
devices are disconnected.
Click a device in the list to open the Device parameters panel where you can change the
Modbus node ID and the 32-bit register word order.

Modbus templates tab

The Modbus templates tab lists all the available templates from the internal memory and
the SD card of NETA-21.
The tool bar of the Modbus templates tab has the following buttons:
Add button allows you to add more templates. You can either import a template or can
clone the parameters of a connected device. See,
Remove button allows you to remove a template from the list of available templates
and from the SD card. Only user defined templates can be removed.
Refresh button updates the list of templates. This is performed after addition or
removal of a template.
Edit button displays the Modus Template Editor dialog box and allows you to edit the
template. Before editing, templates stored in the internal memory will be saved to the
SD card. See

Add Modbus templates

To add new Modbus templates, perform the following:
1. Open the template directory.
Note: Create the template directory if the template directory does not exist.
2. Click the Add button and select the template file to be uploaded. To add the template
directly, copy the templates to the template directory.
