4.4 Configuring Traffic Distribution Based on ECMP

This section describes how to configure traffic distribution based on ECMP.

4.4.1 Establishing the Configuration Task

Applicable Environment
The traffic distribution device captures the packets and forwards them to a packet analysis device
or a computer that runs the packet analysis software for analyzing, recording and processing.
Because of the high link bandwidth on the backbone network, a packet analysis device cannot
analyze or process a large amount of traffic. Therefore, the traffic captured on the network cannot
be forwarded to the packet analysis device for analyzing and processing. In this case, a traffic
distribution device is required to distribute the traffic so that the host can process the distributed
traffic.

The traffic policy is applied to the inbound interface.
Run the display trunkmembership eth-trunk trunk-id command to check the member
interfaces of the Eth-Trunk.
Run the display interface eth-trunk [ trunk-id ] command to check the load balancing
mode of the Eth-Trunk.
Run the display traffic behavior user-defined [ behavior-name ] command to check the
configuration of the traffic behavior.
Run the display traffic classifier user-defined [ classifier-name ] command to check the
configuration of the traffic classifier.
Run the display traffic policy user-defined [ policy-name [ classifier classifier-name ] ]
command to check the configuration of the traffic policy.
Run the display traffic-policy policy-name applied-record command to check the
application of the specified traffic policy.
