4.3.4 Configuring a Traffic Policy

Context
By configuring a traffic policy, the Switch classifies packets according to the DSCP value,
protocol type, IP address, port number, and fragmented packet type and redirects the packets to
be analyzed to the Eth-Trunk.
Do as follows on the Switch where a traffic policy needs to be configured and apply the traffic
policy on the GE interface of the Switch connected to the optical splitter.
Procedure
Step 1 Configure a traffic classifier. For details, see
Classification.
Step 2 Configure redirection.

Step 4 Apply the traffic policy to the inbound interface where traffic distribution is configured.

NOTE
Currently, only the E-series boards and X12SA boards support the single-fiber communication function
and this function needs to be configured with the license.
Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
Run:
traffic behavior behavior-name
A traffic behavior is created and the traffic behavior view is displayed.
Run:
redirect interface eth-Trunk trunk-id or redirect multi-trunk { eth-trunk
trunk-id } &<1-4>
The packets matching the traffic classifier are redirected to single or multiple Eth-Trunks.
Run:
quit
Return to the system view.
Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
Run:
interface gigabitethernet interface-number
The GE interface view is displayed.
Run:
traffic-policy policy-name inbound
