Chapter 2 Hardware Structure

2.1 Logical Structure

Logically, the MRS6100 hardware consists of the following subsystems:
System support subsystem
Call processing subsystem
Media processing subsystem
External O&M terminal
Figure 2-1 shows the logical hardware structure of the MRS6100.

Description
The bus is used for loading, data backup,
and system maintenance.
The signaling processing units and service
processing units use the Ethernet as
inter-board service communication channels
to ensure smooth service processing flow.
