hardware is required. However, because of the risk associated with failures and the
limited load-bearing capacity of the network, structured (star) cabling is becoming
increasingly popular. The integrated HiPath HG 1500 can only be connected via a
hub or switch.

The coaxial cable must have terminating resistors at both ends.
No spur lines are permitted in the coaxial cable.
The T units must be positioned directly on the terminals.
Max. length of the LAN is 185 m.
