Limited Warranty for New Porsche Vehicles
Emission Control System
1. Porsche Cars North America ("Porsche"), the authorized United
States importer of Porsche vehicles, warrants to the ultimate
purchaser and any subsequent purchaser that every Porsche
vehicle imported by P o r s c h e ( a ) w a s designed, built and equip-
ped so as to conform at the time of s a l e with all applicable regu-
lations of the United States Environmental Protection Agency,
and ( b ) is free from defects in m a t e r i a l and workmanship which
c a u s e such vehicle to fail to conform with such regulations for 5
years after the date of first use or delivery of the vehicle to the
original retail customer or until the vehicle has been driven
50000 miles/80000 km, whichever comes first. The obligation
of Porsche under this warranty is limited, how ever, to the follo-
wing: If within such period a defect in m a t e r i a l or workmanship
" causes the vehicle to fail to conform with such regulations and
the vehicle is brought during such period to the workshop of
any authorized Porsche dealer in the United States of America
or its Territories, the dealer will make such repairs as m a y be re-
quired under such regulations.
2. In particular, Porsche h a s no obligation under this warranty
for (I) maintenance services such as fuel system cleaning,
tune-up or valve adjustment; (II) service items such as spark
plugs, wiring, hoses, belts, gaskets and filters required to
be replaced because of normal wear and tear or mainte-
nance; (III) damage or defects which arise solely as the
result of accident or owner abuse, including alteration,
negligence, fire, use of the vehicle in competitive events or
failure to use the type of fuel recommended by the manu-
facturer; (IV) damage or defects which are caused solely
by lack of proper maintenance as specified in the mainte-
nance schedule for the Porsche emission control system;
or (V) any vehicle on which the odometer mileage has been

altered and the vehicle's actual mileage cannot be readily
determined.
3. THE FOLLOWING EXPRESS WARRANTIES ARE IN LIEU OF
ALL OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES IN-
CLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF FITNESS F O R A PARTI-
CULAR PURPOSE OF PORSCHE, THE MANUFACTURER,
AND THE SELLING DEALER:
• LIMITED WARRANTY FOR NEW PORSCHE VEHICLES.
• LIMITED ANTI-CORROSION W A R R A N T Y F O R N E W P O R -
SCHE VEHICLES.
• LIMITED WARRANTY FOR N E W PORSCHE VEHICLES
EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM.
• LIMITED EMISSIONS PERFORMANCE WARRANTY FOR
NEW PORSCHE VEHICLES (WHERE APPLICABLE).
• LIMITED WARRANTY FOR NEW PORSCHE VEHICLES
CALIFORNIA EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM (WHERE
APPLICABLE).
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES FOR NEW PORSCHE VEHIC-
LES ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF
THE CORRESPONDING WRITTEN WARRANTIES. NEITHER
PORSCHE NOR THE MANUFACTURER ASSUMES, OR
AUTHORIZES ANY PERSON TO ASSUME ON ITS BEHALF,
ANY OTHER OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY.

rantly lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
4. PORSCHE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSS OF TIME,
INCONVENIENCE, L O S S O F U S E O F THE VEHICLE O R A N Y
DAMAGE OCCURING AS A CONSEQUENCE THEREOF.

or consequential damage, so this limitation or exclusion may
not apply to you.
