Starting
Manual transmission: Only start in Neutral, clutch pedal
depressed.
Automatic transmission: Start in Neutral or Park.
Starting engine
Just turn ignition k e y . Do not depress accelerator pedal when start-
ing. This applies to warm or cold engine.
Emergency starting
Car must not be started by pushing or towing. See "Emergency
starting with jumper cables".

Height adjustment, front
Backrest adjustment

Lift lever on side of seat back.
Fuses, Relays
The central fuse/relay board is located in the front passenger foot-
well under the floor board. The use of the fuses and relays is shown
in a list on the floor board.
Fuel recommendation
95 RON (90 CLC or AKI on U.S. fuel pumps) minimum.
PREMIUM UNLEADED FUEL ONLY. Fuel tank capacity: 23 U.S.
gals, or 86 liters.
Federal law prohibits use of leaded fuel in this vehicle.
Fuel cap
Located in the right rear panel.
To close, twist cap counter-
clockwise to stop.
