6.15.3 IGMP Filtering Profile

Click IGMP Filtering Profile in the upper right corner of Multicast Setting screen.
An IGMP filtering profile specifies a range of multicast groups that clients connected to the Switch
are able to join. A profile contains a range of multicast IP addresses which you want clients to be
able to join. Clients connected to those ports are then able to join the multicast groups specified in
the profile. Each port can be assigned a single profile. A profile can be assigned to multiple ports.

DESCRIPTION
IGMP snooping enables a layer-2 switch to dynamically learn the members of IP
multicast groups. The switch can then forward multicast traffic to ports that are
members of those multicast groups. When a switch receives multicast traffic destined
for multicast groups that it does not know, it either forwards the traffic to all ports or
discards it (depending on the switch and/or the switch's configuration). IGMP snooping
generates no additional network traffic and allows a switch to handle multicast traffic
more efficiently and effectively.
This field displays the multicast VLAN ID.
Click Add to save your changes to the Switch's run-time memory. The Switch loses
these changes if it is turned off or loses power.
Click Del to delete the VLAN ID you input in VID.
Click Clear to delete the configurations in Deny VLAN(s).
You can list the IGMP snooping Deny VLAN entry in the table.
