This manual is designed to quickly familiarize you with the use of the Configuration Software. It describes all you need to know to effectively use the configurator during the commissioning, operational, and maintenance phases. • Viewing Process data, Flow, Temperature, and Totalizer • Configuring the ST50/ST75 i.e. Pipe size, Type, Process units, etc. • Troubleshooting • Viewing the ST50/ST75 Configuration After you become familiar with the basic functionality of the Configuration Software, you can use the rest of this manual as a reference guide for less common tasks.
RS232 cable. The Configuration Software loads into a Palm OS based PDA. The IR connection provides the convenience of not having to open the ST50/ST75 and connect a cable to access its information. The ST50/ST75 data and parameters are organized in a way that make it easy to find the information that you need.
• If you are going to be communicating with the ST50/ST75 through the IrDA link, you need do nothing. The instructions in this step are to be use only if you are going to use other than the default setting.
The recommended method for connecting to the ST50/ST75 with the Configuration Software is by means of the IR Link. This information helps to identify the flow meter, and can be used by technical support personnel to retrieve factory records, and help resolve filed problems and issues.
