and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Position the computer upside-down with the front toward you.

Remove the following screw covers from atop the screws on the bottom of the computer:
(1) 2 rear rubber screw covers
(2) 2 middle rubber screw covers
(3) 2 front rubber screw covers

Rubber screw covers are available in the Rubber/Plastics Kit, spare part number
