2.1

Responsibilities of the operator

The operator must ensure that:
the specified safety equipment for the photovoltaic

system is fully functional
any illegible warning and safety decals on the device

are replaced immediately
there are no easily flammable items stored near the

device
the device is not covered

the device is only placed on surfaces strong enough

to support it
transport, assembly, installation and commissioning

of the device are only carried out by authorised
specialist personnel
transport, assembly, installation and commissioning

of the device are only carried out under the
specified conditions
the personnel commissioned with performing the

work are able to evaluate their assigned tasks and
recognise possible risks
only authorised and trained electricians carry out

installation and commissioning, and change settings
and connections on the device
before installation and operation, any potential

sources of danger are highlighted and the necessary
safety measures are in put place
the manual and, in particular, safety instructions are

read and understood by personnel commissioned
with performing tasks
the instruction manual is available during transport,

assembly, installation and commissioning
the instruction manual is stored in the document

compartment on the device
