12 Disposal

12.1 Storage system

If you are disposing of a storage system, you must
observe the relevant legal regulations.
Information on the disposal of electrical and
electronic devices in the European Union:
(Information on the disposal of batteries: see
Batteries, p. 131)
Electrically operated devices are disposed of
according to national regulations, which are
determined by the EU directive 2002/96/EC
concerning waste electrical and electronic equipment
(WEEE).
As a result of this directive, no such devices may be
disposed of in general or household waste after 13th
August 2005.
You must observe the relevant legal conditions for
disposal. Since the regulations differ from country to
country, we recommend that you speak to your
supplier, if necessary.

12.2 Batteries

Faulty or used batteries must be sorted separately
and recycled (directive 2008/12/EC applies to EU
countries).
To dispose of batteries, contact the manufacturer.
