9. Enter your Mac password and click OK.
Before the installation starts, a screen appears, telling you that when the
installation finishes, you need to restart your Mac.
10. Click Continue Installation.
At this point, the installation kicks in. This may take a minute or two.
When the installation is complete, you see a message to restart the Mac.
11. Click Restart.
Opening BlackBerry Desktop
Manager for the first time
BlackBerry Desktop Manager will not be on your Mac's Dock (the bottom
bar with application icons on Mac OS 10.5 or later) or on your Mac's desktop
after your installation. You need to use the Finder app to locate it:
1. If you have Mac OS 10.5 or later:
a. Click the Finder application (the leftmost icon) on your Mac's
Dock.
The Finder is launched with a screen displaying your Mac file
system.
b. In the search text box (topmost-right corner) of the Finder
screen, type BlackBerry Desktop.
The listing on the screen is the result of your search, and
BlackBerry Desktop Manager is at the top of the list.
2. If you have Mac OS prior to 10.5:
a. Press Command+F to launch the Find utility.
The Find utility of the Finder application opens.
b. In the Find text box of the Find screen, type BlackBerry Desktop.
The listing on the screen is the result of your search, and
BlackBerry Desktop Manager is at the top of the list.
3. Connect your BlackBerry Storm to your Mac.
4. Click BlackBerry Desktop Manager in the Finder screen.
The screen in Figure 15-13 appears, displaying the BlackBerry connected
to your Mac. In your case, it displays your Storm's PIN.
