Installing and Uninstalling
Applications from the Web
You can download and install applications on your BlackBerry via Browser —
that is, if the application has a link that lets you download and install the files
(see Chapter 18 for other installation options). The downloading and install-
ing parts are easy. Follow these steps:
1. Touch-press the link from Browser.
You see a simple prompt that looks like Figure 10-16.
2. Touch-press the Download button.
The download starts.
As long as you stay within network coverage while the download is progressing,
your BlackBerry can finish the download and install the application for you. If it
finishes without any problems, you see a screen similar to Figure 10-17.
As with a desktop computer, the download might or might not work for a
variety of reasons. Sometimes the application
✓ Requires you to install libraries
✓ Works only on a certain version of the BlackBerry OS
