If you are sitting at a desktop computer, you'll be glad to know that RIM cre-
ated a Web version of App World. Using your desktop Internet browser, you
can visit the site at http://appworld.blackberry.com/. The site allows
you to send an e-mail to your device with a download link for the app you are
interested in.

Installing an application using App World

Found a free-time killer game from the store? Installing the app is easy, and
you probably see all the links on the screen. But here's a quick rundown on
how to do an installation anyway:
1. Touch-press BlackBerry App World on the Home screen.
2. Navigate to the application you want to install.
3. Touch-press the application's icon.
You see a screen similar to Figure 18-2, which in this example shows a
Download button for Google Talk.
4. Touch-press the Download button.
The My World screen appears. At the top are the app you're downloading
and a progress bar, as shown in Figure 18-3. When the download has fin-
ished, the installation kicks in and is indicated with a progress screen, as
shown in Figure 18-4. You'll surely get a prompt after the app is installed.
