Desktop Manager for Mac is fairly new, and if it doesn't come with your Storm
packaging, no worries; you can download an installation program from RIM's
Web site.

Installing BlackBerry Desktop Manager

We're assuming that you're not holding a CD of BlackBerry Desktop Manager
for Mac, so in this section, we include the download steps. Here is a quick
rundown on how to go about installing the application:
1. Download the BlackBerry Desktop Manager installation file from
http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/desktop_
mac.jsp.
2. On the download page, fill in the form and click Download.
After the file is downloaded, the screen showing two icons (BlackBerry
Desktop Manager.mpkg and BlackBerry Desktop Manager Uninstaller)
appears.
3. Double-click BlackBerry Desktop Manager.mpkg.
A standard Mac warning message appears, telling you that you're about
to run an installation of a program.
4. Click Continue on the warning screen.
Another warning message appears. This time, the message tells you that
PocketMac or the Missing Sync software will no longer be able to con-
nect to your BlackBerry. Hey, you're probably installing the BlackBerry
Desktop Manager because you're itching to replace PocketMac or the
Missing Sync, so no worries there.
5. Click Install Anyway.
An installation welcome screen appears.
6. Click Continue.
Another prompt appears, this time asking you to agree to the license
agreement.
7. Click Agree.
A screen appears, allowing you to choose the location of the install. The
default is your Mac's hard drive.
8. Click Continue.
You're prompted for your Mac password.
